The MLLP obtained a strong rating in Europarl call for tenders on live Speech to Text and Machine Translation for all EU languages

The MLLP’s candidature to European Parliament call for tenders EP/TRAD/2019/LSTT “Live Speech to Text and Machine Translation Tool for 24 Languages” obtained a strong rating and was ranked sixth, close to the five shortlisted candidatures by large EU and US tech consortia and organizations.

ICASSP 2020: Two MLLP articles accepted for publication at one of the largest events in natural language processing

The articles “Europarl-ST: A Multilingual Corpus for Speech Translation of Parliamentary Debates” and “LSTM-Based One-Pass Decoder for Low-Latency Streaming“, by Javier Iranzo, Javier Jorge and other MLLP researchers, have been accepted for publication at the IEEE’s ICASSP 2020 conference.
