The MLLP is participating in the International Workshop on Spoken Language Translation (IWSLT) 2015, which will take place on 3–4 December in Da Nang, Vietnam. The MLLP will present ASR results obtained with internally developed technology (the MLLP’s TLK toolkit for speech recognition).
Update (2 Dec. 2015): The IWSLT 2015 programme has been made public today. The MLLP’s ASR systems for the IWSLT 2015’s evaluation campaign are scheduled to be presented on the 16.00–17.30 session of Thursday, 3 December. Come see it if you are at the conference!
The International Workshop on Spoken Language Translation (IWSLT) 2015 is a scientific workshop, associated with an open evaluation campaign on spoken language translation, where both scientific papers and system descriptions are presented. It will take place in Da Nang, Vietnam, on 3–4 December 2015.
The Universitat Politècnica de València’s MLLP group is participating in IWSLT 2015’s evaluation campaign on speech recognition, with the already accepted paper “The MLLP ASR Systems for IWSLT 2015”, by MLLP members Miguel Ángel del Agua, Adrià Martínez-Villaronga, Santiago Piqueras, Adrià Giménez, Alberto Sanchis, Jorge Civera and Alfons Juan. In this paper, the authors present ASR results obtained with the MLLP’s internally developed transLectures-UPV toolkit for speech recognition (TLK). We are confident about the quality of the results obtained, which we expect to come off as competitive in comparison to those of other participants.
Adrià Martínez Villaronga will travel to Da Nang next week to represent the MLLP in the workshop, his presentation being slated to take place on the 16.00–17.30 session of Thursday, 3 December (see here the IWSLT 2015 programme). We at the MLLP are excited at the chance of participating in IWSLT 2015, and will keep you updated here on the results of the evaluation campaign the moment they are made public.
