MLLP director Alfons Juan will be a speaker at the Translating Europe Forum 2016 conference, which will take place in Brussels on 27 and 28 October, organized by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Translation, focusing this year on translation tools and technologies.
Members of ATiT (Belgium) and the Universitat Politècnica de València’s MLLP group were in Graz (Austria) on 22–24 February representing the EU project EMMA at the European MOOCs Stakeholders Summit EMOOCs 2016. The MLLP has obtained competitive results in the IWSLT 2015 evaluation campaign on speech recognition, which were presented on 3–4 December in Da Nang, Vietnam. The MLLP’s ASR results were the only ones based completely on internally developed technology (the TLK toolkit for speech recognition).
