MLLP member Alejandro Pérez González de Martos defended successfully today his PhD thesis on “Deep Neural Networks for Automatic Speech-To-Speech Translation of Open Educational Resources” at Universitat Politècnica de València.
This year, the MLLP has participated in the 2021 edition of the Blizzard Challenge, with the neural text-to-speech synthesis system proposed by the MLLP obtaining some of the best results in the challenge.
The article “Towards cross-lingual voice cloning in higher education“, by Alejandro Pérez González de Martos and other MLLP researchers, has been accepted for publication in Volume 105 of the IFAC’s journal Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence.
The MLLP’s Jorge Civera presented at IN-RED 2017, the 3rd Spanish National Conference on Educational Innovation and Online Teaching (València, 13–14 July 2017), our group’s work on voice-to-voice translation of video lectures.
