The LISTEN Workshop 2018, organized by the coordinators of the EU project LISTEN, took place in Bonn (Germany) on 17–19 July 2018. Revolving around the various aspects of far-field large-vocabulary speech recognition, the workshop brought together experts from academic (RWTH-i6, KIT, FBK, NAIST, INRIA, IDIAP, JHU, CMU, GeorgiaTech) and industrial (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Nuance) research in this fast developing area of automatic speech recognition.
MLLP members Adrià Giménez Pastor, Joan Albert Silvestre Cerdà and Alfons Juan Ciscar were invited by the organizers to present the group’s recent work in speech recognition and multilingual subtitling of OER. Adrià and Joan Albert’s presentation was on the topic of “Speaker-adapted confidence measures for ASR using deep bidirectional recurrent neural networks”, while Alfons’s was on “Multilingual videos for education”.
You will find links to all the presentation slides (including our two presentations) in the LISTEN programme.
We would like to thank the organizers of the workshop for this occasion to share the most recent knowledge and experiences in the field of automatic speech recognition with renowned colleagues from all around the world.
